Haircare routine, tips and tricks and lines!!!

Hello all my gorgeous stalkers:
I wanted to do a follow up post to my Haircare 2011 video that I have posted on my YT and shared here on the blog. There are so many amazing brands of hair care out in the world today. Women and men live to go to the salon to get their hair cut, colored and treated. The beauty of these brands is that they allow for you to take care and maintain your color and quality of your hairstyle. Like I said in my video, I have very fine hair. When I was in high school, it was a lot thicker and big in curly. If you watch my video, you can see a fun little flashback of me rocking some big 80's curls. I always loved to get my hair done since I was very young. I lived in the salon with my mom watching her get beautiful haircuts and color. I always tried to be trendy with my styles and remember some crazy styles & colors I had. :)  In my twenties, I used to live to get my hair done with one of my bestest friends. We worked together and lived to plan when we were going to the salon and what we were going to do! Remember Susie Lol?? Anyhow, these days I am just as obsessed with keeping my hair healthy because I have done so many things to it. Here are some things that I mentioned in the video, but didn't really press upon too much. I am a firm believer in vitamins and it is essential to take biotin as well as vitamin E to promote strong hair, skin and nails. The most important thing is to drink a lot of water all the time. Water isn't only good for your hair, but also for your body in general. I really try to force myself to drink all I can. I also believe that deep conditioning is a must for all hair types. Even someone like me who has a tendency towards an oily scalp, I try to deep condition my ends once a week. That is where all the breakage is. It is also imperative that when you blow dry that you to it on warm heat. Heat is the biggest stress that we put on our hair and high heat can damage the follicles. Look into sulfate free shampoos such as L'oreal Ever Pure and Ever Sleek. They are great lines for clarifying once a week. One vital thing as well is to ALWAYS use a heat protector if you are going to flat iron. I cannot stress this enough. It is a great preventative for damage to your ends. Always keep in mind that the products that you use do not always have to come from the Salon or be very pricey. There are so many amazing brands that you can find in the drugstore, wal-mart, kmart, etc. In my video I did mention a little of each. I am big on Moroccan and Macadamia Natural oil lines because I do have sensitive hair. I also use L'oreal for purifying and organix to mix it up. That is something that is very important, you can change up your lines every month or two so that your hair gets the maximum benefits. Just don't be sold by one thing, go with what feels good for you and what you can afford. I hope this was helpful for you and I will include some pics of my products that I am using now! Until next time....Love, peace and beauty always!!!! Xoxo

  2. I have not seen them at mine, but that doesn't mean they may not have it at one by you. Check and see, but I got them through the website: www.macadamiahair.com. It is really amazing, I think you'll like it! :) If you order online, let them mention you heard it from me! :)

  4. Thanks Claudine! I think I'm going to pick some up tomorrow. My daughter and I have thick coarse curly hair that tends to be on the dry side. I'm going to that side of town to buy Coconut oil for my hair treatments. I can pick some of these products up while I'm in the area. Keep up the great work.
